SCOTUS: Operation Rescue Terrorists allowed to attack women's clinics
That is how the title should read.

Supreme Court Ruling Could Imperil Women's Health Clinics

The Supreme Court today issued an 8-0 decision in two related cases (Scheider, et al., v. National Organization for Women (NOW), et al. and Operation Rescue v. NOW, et al.), lifting a nationwide injunction protecting virtually all women's health clinics in the nation. Two clinics of the National Women’s Health Organization (NWHO) joined NOW in taking this class action case, which represented virtually all women’s health clinics as well as all women who could potentially be patients of these clinics...

“I initiated this case almost 20 years ago as the president of the National Organization for Women (NOW) to stop the reign of terror perpetrated by anti-abortion extremists at clinics across the country. I believe that this lawsuit and its resulting nationwide injunction significantly contributed to reducing the level of violence at clinics. I only hope that the loss of the injunction does not embolden anti-abortion extremists to escalate domestic terrorism towards women’s reproductive health clinics,” said Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority Foundation.

“Anti-abortion extremists, however, should not look at this as a great legal victory. State, local, and federal laws are now in place, such as the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, that have helped to dramatically reduce the level of violence against clinics. Law enforcement officials have made it clear that violence will not be tolerated at our nation’s clinics and that domestic terrorists will be arrested and prosecuted,” Smeal continued.

1. Maybe we should rename
the "Supreme Court" to the "Inferior Court." It's certainly worthless in terms of protecting American freedoms, unless one's discussing the freedom to run rampant over the liberties of other Americans.

2. That Ginsberg, Breyer, Stevens, and Souter signed on to this
makes me think there must be a good reason they did so.

3. Let's fight the Religious Right now
That's what we have to do. Getting angry and doing nothing is an option. Waiting for someone to tell this loons to stop wont work. We we must do is confront these bullies head on. I say lets form prayers circles around their church and block them out for a change. I say start questioning the preachers logic after mass if he supports going down and picketing women clinics. And if need be I say we engage in civil disobedience. I am not targeting left wing Christians on this page. I think the left wing Christians on this site are awesome. I am just saying that now is the time fore us to start playing hardball with the religious right before it really is too late to do anything but whine and complain about it.

5. Well I am just tired that we wont go on offensive against these loons.
Sure we get amgry but what do we do? Now's the time for action. Especially since Diebold took away our right to vote. Protesting and maybe civil disobedience are our only weapons left against the fasciast freaks.
