I've been thinking about the fundies, and how they claim to be
such GOOD Christians, and the rest of us are evil. I read something that just might prove them wrong!
The foundation of Christianity hold tru that there are Seven Deadly Sins. If you are guilty and don not repent, you will go to hell! Check them out and see how many YOU think most of our leaders are guilty of.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

Gluttony<'/b> is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

I hate the idea of religion in politics, but our opposition has brought it in. Seems to me we should be able to refer to those seven deadly sins to show who is right and who is wrong!

1. Gluttony
I see that the definition for gluttony is not limited to food.

Why that can be interpreted MANY ways.

3. I wondered about that vehicle I saw
with the Jesus fish and 'The Power of Pride' bumper sticker.

I thought pride was a problem for true followers of the book.

5. I'm sure there must be a loophole,
kind of like my son-in-law who refuses pork due to Leviticus, but has no problem with a nice poly-cotton blend.

I don't know anything about you SIL but those fundies shouldn't have much of a problem recognizing the "Seven Deadly Sins". They were raides on that teaching. I think they just forgot!
