Only 1 in 4 Americans can name more than ONE of the 5 freedoms guaranteed in the 1st Amendment, but more than half can name at least two family members of "The Simpsons" (from left, Lisa, Marge, Maggie, Homer and Bart).

On that link, you answer like it's a quiz but it doesn't provide a correct answer, only the results of everyone's answers, like a survey.

------------

A propos to The Simpsons, here's an old Matt Groening, from the Life In Hell cartoons---a youth's phonetic, rote, take on the Pledge of Allegiance:

Student rises from desk and says,
"I plead alignment to the flakes of the united snakes of a merry cow--
--and to the republicans for which they scam--
--one nacho, underpants, with licorice and jugs of wine for owls.
Heh heh."

Even Matt (in 1985) realized the pervasive ignorance of our nation's unique origins.
