House pulls Patriot Act compromise from consideration... Now remains up to moderate Republicans to either pass or reject full Patriot Act to send to Bush for signature... PATRIOT ACT COMPROMISE MAY CRUMBLE... DEVELOPING...

4. Our Repub rep McHugh (N-NY) is sort of moderate & doesn't always vote the |

(neo-con) party line (I think it's something like 80% that he does). He's still very much a Repub but he was one of the few Republicans that voted against the last "give the shaft to the poor" budget bill.
