being interviewed. Great interview on media in US. Role of journalists, Bush's influence, juornalists complicity. Says US news is the worst in the developed world. This is must see TV.
<snip from programme schedule>
Carl Bernstein is one of the journalists responsible for one of the greatest scoops of all time - uncovering the Watergate scandal. He tells Stephen Sacker that he believes the journalistic spirit of the Watergate era is all but dead.

1. On Woodward...
Has anyone ever herd Bernstein comment on Woodward in recent years? At all?

was quite harsh too. Great questions as well. Quite a bit on Fox as well, NYT and spying. Called Bush a liar -compared wiretaping to Nixon and referred to Dean's book. Superb interview. I recommend that this should be recorded and spread around.

3. Carl
Seems like he still has alot of journalistic integrity and principles.

Bob seems to have become a total hack, on the other hand.

5. Woodward
Woodward, according to a person that is more knowledgeable than me, was actually involved with groups at Yale that thought Nixon was too liberal. So, while he helped bring Nixon down for his criminal activiities, he was also helping to bring down somebody the far right thought was too liberal.
