Bush should have at that moment sent crews to NO to shore up the levees.

The mayor and Governor had done everything possible to try to get their people to safety. Where do people get the idea that local authorities are to be the first responders. It is the federal government's responsibility. I wish people would understand this.

Bush had plenty of time to get the levees built up to where they would have held up to that category of storm. Then they have the audacity to say Mayor Nagin and Governor should have done more.

That is proof postiive of his aloofness or his abject prevarification. Either way it royallydivides his base. His coattails are gone. Nobody is going to want to appear on stage with him in October.

But do not count on it...it just gets worse every day..and i think the whole country has moved on from some sort of political sticker shock to just complacent acceptance of the insanity that hits us over and over from this president and administration...and just nothing ever really happens..we just move on..after another committee, investigation and months of debate about how this just cannot be happening over and over, but we just move on...and this insane man is destroying our country...and just continues to keep on destroying it again and again.
