I posted this yesterday before it was published in today's newspaper, but here is a link to the online version. As usual, I appreciate any and all feedback:

But I love the Simpsons AND like Jeopardy. Sometimes I could even stand a chance of winning. Sometimes.
And I consider the Simpsons one of the all-time best shows ever. Along with Firefly, that is. The show FOX deliberately killed.

2. thanks for looking at it! |

I'd do pretty well on "Jeopardy" too -- even in the "Obscure Facts about the First Amendment" category since I teach a college journalism course and hit the 1st Amendment pretty hard. Never saw "Firefly," but wrote a column about fireflies once, which is here: www.cumberlink.com/articles/2004/08/07/editorial/rich_lewis/lewis05.txt

3. Firefly probably hit a little too close to home |
|
for the FOX company...far too anti-authoritarian and featuring <gasp> real people. If you ever get the chance, watch the series on DVD then check out the feature film "Serenity."
