... and there are neighborhoods that are worse than those pictures demonstrate. :( It is still risky to drive through some areas, and some streets are impassible. Sad thing is, for better or worse, it is being swept away like debris in a dust pan.

18. It's sickening that the people haven't been helped

after all this time. On top of that, today I heard that searchers were taking dogs into the ninth ward to hunt for remains of the dead - more than six months after the hurricane hit! It's an outrage that this wasn't done long before now.

about the death rate rising astronomically in NOLA. Both suicides & people just "giving up". I think it was Saturday. Incredibly depressing.

Great job with the camera. More people need to see these pictures. More pictures need to be seen nationwide. The damage is just staggering. It looks like the wind tore up a lot of property before it was flooded. That wind had to be a cat 3 or more, when it hit the city.

The media just stopped covering the damage a month after the storm. I suspect Karl had a hand in that.
