WASHINGTON - In the hectic, confused hours after Hurricane Katrina lashed the Gulf Coast, Louisiana's governor hesitantly but mistakenly assured the Bush administration that New Orleans' protective levees were intact, according to a new video obtained by The Associated Press showing briefings that day with federal officials.

When bush is caught in any situation that showcases his failure or lies, they then have to stretch the truth about a political figure on the left to "balance" things out.

The sad thing is it manages to keep alot of Americans confused.

2. It wasn't an "assurance" by Blanco; she was responding to a question

about her opinion -- a prediction -- about how she thought the levees would hold up. You're absolutely right, greenbriar. The media is twisting Blanco's words.

Also, like Ron Reagan said on "Hardball", they're playing a game of semantics in regard to "overtopping" vs. "breaching" of the levees, but the fact of the matter is, people have been anticipating for years about the levees' ability to withstand a strong hurricane.

on USAToday's website is "Blanco erred on levees", yet she did say that she was uncertain and that the situation could change. No surprise that Blanco is the scapegoat for Bush.

6. I noticed that this morning.. I got out of the shower, and I heard "There

is new video out on Katrina disaster.." I thought.."Yes, my local news (I live in a super red area)is going to show that liar, and prove he knew all along what was going to happen." I wrapped my towel around me and sat down in the chair just in time to see them smear Blanco.. Not a good way to start the morning..

.. A LEVEE BREACH OCCURRED ALONG THE INDUSTRIAL CANAL AT TENNESSE STREET. 3 TO 8 FEET OF WATER IS EXPECTED DUE TO THE BREACH...LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO ARABI AND 9TH WARD OF NEW ORLEANS.
