and now has smaller theaters upstairs.

Lots of good and strange events there, a lot of music-connected film events.

13. The only thing is a local hardware store

There were a few clothing stores that my parents and I frequented but they've been put out by the likes of Wal-Mart. This one store had everything from clothes to old furniture to door handles. As a kid, I had fun just running around the tall, dark isles.

16. In Austin, Alamo Drafthouse

where you can watch a movie, drink beer or wine, and eat a pretty decent meal (pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc.) all at once! Four locations in Austin and now two in the Houston area and one in San Antonio.
