23. Here's the thing..
Edited on Fri Mar-03-06 12:48 AM by SoCalDem
She is the SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE UNITED STATES...she's on an official visit to a foreign country.. She KNOWS she's going to be photographed...A LOT...

Fabrics like satin, refect a lot of light and shadow.. a snug fitting dress when you have a bit of a tummy bulge is never a good idea.. She's in FANTASTIC shape and is not nearly as ugly outside and she is inside..,,,but she could have made a better choice

She needed to wear an understated , modest dress..Indian women cover their arms to some degree in most of their fashions.. Surely with the money and influence these bumpkins have, someone could have made up some gowns for the "ladies" that had a slight Indian influence, and were tasteful..

I have an image of Condi, frantically rooting through her closet..trying on old bridesmaid dresses..and the blue one was the closest to a fit..

40. Yes, that's what I find hard to understand.
She's dressed for the prom. That outfit would be fine if she were there in the capacity of arm candy but she is an official representative of our government. The color of the dress is flattering but the choice of fabric and the cut was just not well thought out. Laura's dress would be more appropriate for the Secretary of State. Perhaps they should swap.

18. Bras are often too formal for daytime

Bras are often too formal for daytime. Instead, I simply tuck my breasts into the elastic waistband of my Dress Barn skirt (to keep them from giving me a black eye when I gallop through the West Wing). In case the French Embassy has its air-conditioning set too high, I complete the outfit by slinging a white, terrycloth Marriott bathrobe over my arm.

27. Republican Glamour
While lie-berals and demon-crats pay homage to Jackie O's so-called "sense of style," I ask Christian ladies everywhere: "Do you really want to emulate a woman who sold herself to someone as ugly as Aristotle Onassis, thereby destabilizing the price of hookers from Athens to Anchorage?" This is a new century, gals -- a time for a little touch of Republican panache!

A lot of folks ask me how I got my nickname Pickles. Well, I'm fixing to tell you. It was way back when I was a popular gal with the boys at Midland High. And let's just say I never had to worry about working a "Love Waits" t-shirt into my cowgirl wardrobe! But this got me thinking: why don't I draw on my vast experience on the prairies of Texas to teach you to be a firecracker in your own bedroom, barn or Cutlass backseat?

31. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
What fun!

A good way to s-t-r-e-t-c-h your fashion dollars is to know that with a strong enough needle, any fabric can be turned into an eye-catching suit. Gals, when I say "I'm shopping at Barney's," I don't mean the store -- I mean the dinosaur! For example, when Barney had the club chairs in his rumpus room recovered, the textile mill in North Carolina had just enough upholstery fabric left over to make me this winning number! And with a husband who has just a few too many cocktails when the red light on the TV cameras is "off," isn't it a godsend to know that your skirt is Scotch Guarded?

33. It's NOT true!
We keep saying Laura Bush wears so much hairspray you could hit her in the head with a pipe wrench and not injure her.

That's not true anymore.

Now, you could hit her in the head with a three-pound sledge and not injure her, and Condi's taking grooming tips from her.

And someone really needs to have a talk with that photographer: corner moulding growing out the top of Condi's head?

if so, she's got no eye for color and she must have flunked Home Ec. I can make a better-looking evening gown than that. Should have altered the bodice pieces to fit her shape (?) before the fabric was cut or gone for something with a higher waist, maybe? Definitely not this shade of blue. It makes her look diseased.

The shimmery blue, on the other hand, is very attractive, IMO, and looks nice on her. Would look nicer if I didn't know how ugly she was inside.
