Saw this * bumper sticker this morning, what does it mean?

I saw a bumper sticker this morning that read "PRAY. PRES BUSH PLEASE HONOR YOUR COVENANT WITH ISRAEL".

Not quite sure what this "covenant with Israel" is, except that it's probably some fundie thing.

The fundies believe that the Second Coming can't occur until the Temple is rebuilt - but guess what occupies the Temple site? The Dome of the Rock, only one of Islam's holiest shrines. Just a minor inconvenience to them.

From the mindset of those who would welcome the "second comming" why not just nuke the place. It would clear off that nasty temple in a hurry and to tell the truth, if the Rapture was comming the radiation wouldn't count for much.

exploring the partnerships of some evangelical churches with religious groups in Israel. The gist of the story was that by supporting the Israelis to accomplish their goals it would hasten the second coming of Christ and therefore they would go to Heaven sooner.

I've seen that bumper sticker too and that's my interpretation of it. According to the Rapturists, Israel has to have control of Jerusalem for the Rapture to happen.

IOW, they don't give a flying @#$% about the Jewish people, they just want to be raised up.

This has to do with moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
