Did Bush Blink?

In addition to all the predictable reactions (pro and con) to the landmark nuclear agreement reached in India yesterday, a powerful and unexpected new concern has emerged based on a last-minute concession by President Bush.

It appears that, to close the deal during his visit, Bush directed his negotiators to give in to India's demands that it be allowed to produce unlimited quantities of fissile material and amass as many nuclear weapons as it wants.

But now the criticisms may focus on this question: By enabling India to build an unlimited stockpile of nuclear weapons, would this agreement set off a new Asian arms race?

And here's another question: Were Bush and his aides so eager for some good headlines -- for a change -- that they gave away the store?

7. "Nukes for Mangos"- that was so great.
I miss the days when Lou Dobbs would've fit perfectly into the Republican Party.

10. We're getting mangos from India? The ones from Mexico aren't
ripe. I hate unripe mangos. They would have to fly them here. It's 12 hours to India. And Florida has a nice little mango industry, which for some reason never shows up in the Florida stores.

3. Yes, Yes, Umm, Yes, and Yes...
Bush wants to be liked more than anything. I am sure has his polls slip, his drugs they keep him on goes up. The man is like a dumb puppy, he wants to be loved, he wants people to like him, and HE CAN NOT UNDERSTAND why they do not. At the end of the day, he thinks he is a great man.

4. So, as a result of American Presidents during the last 60 years
Struggling to limit and reduce nuclear weapons, Blunder Boy Wonder accelerates a nuclear arms race in the world.

When is someone going to grab the steering wheel from Idiot in Chief / Glorious Commander / Glorious Leader / Blunder Boy Wonder, slam on the brakes, and toss his ass out the window into the ditch before he drives us all over the cliff?

5. I hear this deal is illegal
so despite whatever Bush is promising we are a long way from implementing any of these agreements. It's all smoke and mirrors. Plus Bush wants to destabilize that region too, so he's just stirring the pot.

6. This deal is also about Iran,
just like the UAE deal (approval). (The three stooges -- Urkel, Noodle and Poodle -- are already on board for the preliminaries of this looming farce.)

It'd be unfortunate if some compromise (with Iran) isn't worked out.

And it'd be unwise to assume or expect that our "leaders" will act in a rational and competent fashion, like in avoiding military action that will likely prove a complete and total disaster -- and make it a near certainty that Iran will prioritize acquiring nuclear weapons.

Oh well, maybe we'll get stuck on our way out of the crapper.

8. I knew it.
Bush is so weak right now, that he couldn't have made this kind of deal without a huge concession like the one described in the article. Just another example of Bush selling out our national security for good publicity.

9. Giving into India is considered good news?
Does he have any clue how much resentment this outsourcing has caused between the two nations? That fucker is totally clueless. Impeach his motherfucking ass.

11. Just a resentment with the people who are out of jobs. Not that
many compared to the general population. Show comments yesterday that the US should want competition from the rest of the world and that our trade with India will be "secure", whatever that means.

Sorry, I have enough competition from fellow Americans. I don't want competition from abroad. And * isn't clueless - he just doesn't care.
