Victory against Wal-Mart: A first step.
Wal-Mart did the right thing. Thanks to pressure from activists like you and three brave women in Massachusetts, Wal-Mart reversed its discriminatory policy against stocking the “morning-after” pill! Starting March 20, its pharmacies will start filling women’s prescriptions for the morning-after pill.

Please thank Wal-Mart for changing its policy and urge the company to revisit its pharmacy refusal policy.

And they still allow pharmacists to refuse to serve you.
And they still treat their employees' like shit.
And they still pour in huge amounts of money into the Republican party.

Thank them hell. Boycott them.

They are draconian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. The point of a boycott
is to pressure them to change their policies. This was a change in the right direction.

So I'll thank them, but continue the boycott because they still have other issues, as you pointed out, that makes it unacceptable for me to shop there. I figure it's like having a failing student in my class. They might do great on one assignment, in which case I'll praise them. But I'll still give them an F for a semester grade if they were so miserable on their other assignments that that's what they deserved.

5. No. Sadly, there's no victory here except for Wal-mart's PR ...
... according to the cnn.com story (my apologies for the source):
The company said it will maintain its conscientious objection policy, which lets employees who don't feel comfortable dispensing a prescription to refer customers to another pharmacist or pharmacy.

In other words, the Wal-mart Pharmacy may stock it, but their "Pharmacist/Theologue" may not dispense it.

In that case, they will direct you to another Pharmacy... it's not their fault that all other Pharmacies were driven out of business/town by Wal-mart :sarcasm:

6. And another damn thing: Wal-mart is pushing a technoligy (RFD), which if
implemented, will make Orwell a joking matter. This company has done nothing but evil for this country.
