So we are going to have Harassment classes at work
With the focus on sexual harassment.
This is a good thing for sure, but I can't help being a bit sarcastic and cynical.
After all, Clarence Thomas was put on the Supreme Court for god sakes.
I work for Red City in a Red county.
It is so tempting to point this hypocrisy out, but I will bite my lip...maybe.

Republicans bashed Anita Hill while embracing Paula Jones.
Go figure.

1. A better way to address sexual harrassment
Would be to actually promote some women to positions of power.

12. In my business, women ARE the power
most principals are women. We have a male superintendent, but just about everybody else is a woman.

4. Depending on the place
they can be helpful. If they are over the top they are harmful. Some people really have no idea what is appropriate.

But a basic message of respect and thinking before you open your yap is fair. A true policy backed by action is the best.

6. As tempting as it is, a sarcastic remark will be the shortest route
to the unemployment line. So be cool! I have a big mouth & I'm older & wiser ;) I still have a big mouth!

8. I know...
...I have made it 16 years there and in 5 more I retire so it would be pointless to point out this hypocrisy because the classes are a good thing and not all there are Republicans, plus why jeopardize my employment.

These are well presented classes.
I just was expressing my angst against the hypocrites, also known as, Republicans.

7. The remarkable thing about this is that somewhere it is still remarkable
The important thing is that it is still important to do these classes.

9. They are good classes...
...they have them about every 2 years.

What is surprising is that we still need them in the 21st century.
But then again 34% still support the warmonger-in-chief.

10. We had a computer self operated harassment course at
our company that all were required to take and pass. It took about an hour. Actually, I found it somewhat informative and worth the trouble. I didn't feel imposed upon.

11. I hate them. We have them every year
and they have now extended PAST sexual harassment to just general harassment and it makes you afraid to say anything to anyone. It was even mentioned in my latest session that if you constantly tell a child to sit down it can constitute harrassment!

Holy Moly! I'm doomed.
