Coming from a Brit. Wow. What a comparison! So, this IS how this administration is viewed around the world.

Both want fundamentalist theocracies.

Edit: although.. I don't think Khomeini is acting to bring on "The Rapture", I could be wrong.

3. bLiar is late to the party
"Blair is seen by some as the most religious British premier since William Gladstone (1809-1898), who gave up his vocation as a pastor to enter politics."

I lived in the UK for the first several years of bLiar's government and he was never overtly religious, nor did he ever claim to be acting from faith in the lead-up to the war with Iraq. He wouldn't have dared. Unlike here, the vast majority of Brits are far more sensible than to have ever sat still for such manipulative mumbo-jumbo.

Towards the bottom of the article is an explanation for bLiar's sudden zealousness:

"There is speculation he plans to convert from High Church Anglican to Catholicism after leaving office."

The priest better reserve a confessional in bLiar's name. It's going to be a long absolution.
