Song for the times.....
Heard this on the radio today.

"Smiling Faces Sometimes"

(As recorded by The Undisputed Truth)
BARRET STRONG
NORMAN WHITFIELD

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within.

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

The truth is in the eyes
'Cause the eyes don't lie, amen
Remember a smile is just a frown turned upside down
My friend let me tell you

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

Beware, beware of the handshake that hides the snake
I'm telling you beware, beware of the pat on the back
It just might hold you back
Jealousy (jealousy), Misery (misery), Envy.

I tell you you can't see behind smiling faces
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
I'm telling you beware, beware of the handshake that hides the snake
Listen to me now beware, beware of that pat on the back
It just might hold you back.

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

Your enemy won't do you no harm
'Cause you know where he's coming from
Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya
Take my advice I'm only tryin' to school ya.

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

2. Thank you. I was - er - laid, frankly, more than ever then.
Now, in my 50s, I like a good book, and a fire, and the dogs, and fighting the BushBots, and the company of my very favorite person (she is my life. Unexpectedly). Summer 1971-1974? Zowie. Thank God my good friends - those still alive - are still my bestest friends. Thanks for posting. A secret told: At that time, as a really not very good looking guy - but bright - I slept with the very most beautiful women. I admire each and every one of them. And thanks to you, too.

3. Funny how everything old
is new again. God I wish it was not so.

I remember that song, have not thought of it in years.

6. Paging Marvin Gaye
War is not the answer, for only love can conquer hate . . .

Add some Sly and the Family Stone -- IIIIIIII love everyday people.

We got to live together!
I am no better, and neither are you,
we are the same whatever we do.
You love me you hate me, you know me and then,
you can't figure out what bag I'm in!
