Backpedalling pieces of SHIT!!!!

I hope they all burn in hell.

snip:
In actuality, there are fundamental differences between the left and us regarding the question of war.

Unlike the left, we do not believe any one man should ever be entrusted with the awesome power of deciding when to go to war. It makes no difference if the president is a Republican or a Democrat, a conservative or a liberal. The Constitution assigns to Congress, not the president, the power “to declare war.” If America needs to go to war, Congress should declare it.

snip:

Unlike the left, we believe that in war “there is no substitute for victory,” to quote General Douglas MacArthur. Why, therefore, do we want to bring the troops home now? Why not win and then get out? Well, if winning means eliminating Iraq’s reputed weapons of mass destruction, there is no victory to obtain because those weapons do not exist. If it means toppling the Saddam regime, that victory has already been achieved. But if it means propping up the new Iraqi regime until that regime can stand on its own, that “victory” would be no victory at all, since that new regime is fast becoming another Iran, an “axis of evil” nation.

1. It's SO good to see someone use "pedaling" correctly.
So many times, it seems like people are actually selling their bicycle instead of making it move, because they are "peddling" it.

Oh, and the actual premise of your post? I agree with that, too. Sorry for the digression.

3. Whew! The Grammar Nazi in me panicked.
I had to look up pedalling in the dictionary. Luckily both versions are correct.

And thank you.

4. I wasn't talking about one L or two. I was talking about how many people
confuse "pedal" and "peddle."

Which you did not. And I appreciate it.

2. it reads like a piece from the onion
paraphrasing:

unlike the left, we do not worship bush
unlike the left, we oppose the republican platform

it's amazing their heads haven't exploded from the centrifugal force required for that amount of spinning.

It's a little late now, boys.

I do think it's funny how they have this almost involuntary reaction to inject a "but Democrats are worse" everytime they're forced to mention a problem with Bush. Like this paragraph:

"Democrat presidents were wrong when they claimed that the decision to go to war was theirs to make, and President Bush is wrong when he makes the same claim. Mr. Bush’s acknowledgement of last December that “as President, I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq,” overlooks the fact that this decision was not his to make."

First, I don't see why it's necessary to mention Democrats at all in that paragraph, and second- I don't know what they're referring to. Which Democratic president said it was his right to declare war? I know that Bush came right out and flatly claimed it was his decision- and conservatives had no problem at all with the statement at the time. But I've never heard of any Democratic president saying anything similar.

6. They do seem a bit confused about what the Left does
or does not believe; their own positions seeming being both confused and contradictory.

But the Busheviks are catching up fats on the outside rail, as it were.

Somebody was bound to wind up there sooner or later.
