• S/he can not change.

• The environment s/he grew up in is irrelevant.

I reject both of those. Anyone can change. Some people born and raised in poverty grow up to be law abiding people. Some people born and raised in a loving and caring enviroment become criminials.

This does NOT mean I am giving Bush a pass. Or excusing his behavior. What it does mean is calling someone “evil” denies the complexity that is our human nature.
