Curious: how's Pepper-Man (Whittington) doing?

I Googled for an update on Cheney's victim, with no results. The media has moved on to other stories, but how IS the 78 year-old a-SALT victim doing, said victim with pellets lodged in his heart and liver he must be under some kind of medical supervision. Anybody hear any news? Is he back-to-work or hiding out until the pepper-marks heal?

And, has Cheney made any effort to see or contact his 30-year "acquaintance" whom he sprayed with possibly hundreds of pellets?
