It's time to get going on helping Democrats win in November.

There are 8 months and much work ahead of us as we get started taking Congress back from the nuts in the Reich-Wing.
Here are some ways you can help out now;
1-Many of the candidates need to gather signatures to get on the ballot in the District they are running in. Find out who is running in your District and sign a petition for your local candidate.
2-Candidates need people willing to help gather signatures, organize events, help with fundraisers, etc.. Find a candidate that you like and pitch in to help him/her out.
3-Raising money is a critical issue to get a campaign on it's feet. EMILY'S List helps get pro-choice Democratic women going in their campaigns. The acronym EMILY stands for Early Money Is Like Yeast. The idea is that money raised early in a campaign helps the "dough" to rise.
Send a few bucks to whichever candidates you can to help them get their campaigns going.
4-If you live in a District that votes overwhelming Democratic, look into helping one of your neighboring District who could use the help. My District is so committed to our Democratic Congressman, I am helping a candidate in a nearby District to take the seat from the incumbent Republican.

Good luck in your local campaign. If we can turn an average of one District in each state back over to the Democrats, we will have a landslide.

I'm in a heavily Democratic area too (thankfully)so I am shipping my money out to other candidates in other states where they are facing major Republicans who need to go!

3. The two biggest things you can do to restore order in this country:

1. Demand that the Democratic Party fund INDEPENDENT exit polls in every 2006 Congressional election. It's the least that our Party can do, to make up for letting two rightwing Bushite corporations gain control of the nation's vote count with "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code--the complete corruption of our election system, designed by Tom Delay and Bob Ney in the $4 billion HAVA electronic voting boondoggle--with not a word of objection from our (insane?) 2. Join or create a grass roots movement in your state/local jurisdiction to DEMAND transparent elections NOW.

Without Congress safely in Democratic hands, Bush will never be impeached, and the neo-con agenda will continue unhendered through 2008, at least.
