It is very strong message in hilarious format, but it is VERY disturbing.

This is made by a guy in San Diego though, not China, regardless. See for yourself.

(No speech only subtitle but there is cursing in it.)

This is guaranteed to make a freeper's head explode.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I face outsourcing by the country of my ancestors. My father came to this country from India in the late 50s, he was an engineering professor at a US university for more than 1/2 his life. He was one of the first ones at his school calling for the inclusion of women and then during the last years of his life he kept warning anybody who would listen that we're not graduating enough homegrown (US) scientists and engineers.

I think we're on a dangerous path and Bush going to India and talking about Mangos as if it was all one big lark enrages me.

You're right, China doesn't have free speech and they have limits on the internet.

However the danger is more people in China use the internet so become computer literate, which is an essential skill.

Free speech doesn't matter to the Chinese government, they are on the way to becoming a super power. The way it is going, we won't have any leverage to improve their human rights, if we even have any now.

The guy who made this wasn't saying China is better but showing us that we are going to lose everything to places like China (and India) if we don't pay attention (hence the gossip references, we're preoccupied by the inane. Look at this wall to wall oscar coverage by CNN,MSNBC, etc).

This short was intended to be a slap in the face to wake us up, it was harsh but sometimes that is what is needed to get people to face the magnitude of the problem.

When I read outsourcing complaints, a lot of time it seems to center on "I can't understand the guy/girl" which is frustrating but I sometimes think the real problem is overlooked.

MHO,this short captured the problems we face brilliantly. Now the question is what do we do? If I could, I would force every American to watch this (with the disclaimer it was made by an American so not to get people angry at the Chinese who did not say these things to or about us).

I just finished reading this book (subject line)... and it dissects the problems of the market economy briefly and with ease, but better yet... IT OFFERS SOLUTIONS to our Market Economy problems. I actually started a thread a couple of hours ago because i waas so excited after having read it... kind of like the first time i read The Unsettling of America by Wendell Berry... Cahn illustrates his conclusions with really easy to connect to analogies. The sub-title of the book is The Co-Production Imperative and it was written by Edgar Cahn, founder of Time Dollars. I would HIGHLY recommend reading this book, especially Chapter 7: The Dark Side of the Force- The External Costs of Money. Revolutionary and Eye-opening. A perfect match for DU...
