1. He had no experience in the area and took the job anyway
I have NO sympathy for him, or ANY Bush appointee for that matter.

10. He thought he was being rewarded...
...with a cushy desk job by an Administration that took security no more serious than he did. He never dreamed that he might be expected to do actual work, or that his bosses would try to lay all the blame on him.

Yes, I do feel just a little sorry. It is sad when a sheltered innocent is suddenly forced to live in the real world--even when his incompetence is partly responsible for loss of life.

2. Look at it this way - he kept quiet when keeping quiet was killing people
He let people die with his silence.

Sure, he can make the effort to do the right thing now....but he still let people die from his silence when he could have said something then and made a difference.

4. We are all interconnected
if Brownie is finally realizing this, then good for him! Perhaps his pronouncements will open some Bush worshipper's eyes.

5. I don't know
I wouldn't beat myself up over that - guys in a tough spot. Without letting him off for his crimes, i think it's normal to feel sorry for him.

7. Well, Thanks. I DO Want Him To Pay For His Incompetence, And
I want it to spread to the White House & beyond. I'll get over my feeling sorry, I usually do.

6. I don't agree but I understand...
He's just a little dumbass turd who got offered a plum job and took it,as most anyone would. Way over his head . The point is he's not in the same league as bushco. Still, he doesn't have my sympathy and in the modern world he's now an icon of sorts. He'll always have a job.:eyes:

9. Brownie Sucks. Bush** Sucks Even Worse.
Brownie sucks, no doubt about it.
New Orleans in the midst of Katrina was no place for fashion gods or 2-hour lunches.
But Bush** did nothing at all.
He didn't even bother to show up until his absense became a PR disaster,
and then it was all a photo op with a sham relief program as a backdrop
(dismantled as soon as the cameras stopped rolling).

To add insult to injury, Bush** used Katrina as an excuse to impound funds
already appropriated by Congress for numerous other programs. This Nixonian
tactic was outlawed by Congress in 1974.

12. There's nothing wriong with having empathy for people
You shouldn't feel bad for that.

The world could use a lot more empathy on all sides.
