Epidemic of Republicans misusing active duty military for campaigns
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 08:47 PM by swag
in contravention of DoD regs:

4.1.2. A member on active duty shall not:
4.1.2.3. Participate in partisan political management, campaigns, or conventions (unless attending a convention as a spectator when not in uniform).

Colorado Republican Representative Musgrave, as well as other Republicans abusing our military and placing them personnel in direct legal jeopardy, should certainly know better.

As has been noted elsewhere on DU, Josh Marshall has the litany of illegality at

2. I see a couple of Marines who need court-martialing...
...but also an excuse for lenience, when a member of Congress solicits their appearance.

3. legality

5. We need to find more pictures of this happening.
I did a little searching of Illinois GOP links to find pics, haven't found any yet. But I'm sure I will.

6. A nice follow-up - CO Republicans try to destroy the evidence

They have scrubbed the pic of Musgrave and the malfeasance from their web site.
