Those cute little fascists: Bill Clinton Heckled as 'War Criminal'

Two Pace University students were questioned by Secret Service officers after they heckled former President Clinton during a speech at the school, a university spokesman said.

The hecklers shouted "war criminal" when Clinton answered a law student's question about the value of working for peace, Pace spokesman Christopher T. Cory said.

The outburst came at the end of a speech Sunday in which the former president was applauded by the crowd of about 1,800, Cory said.

The two students were asked to leave by local police, then were questioned by the Secret Service and released, Cory said. Their identities were not released.

I know a lot of people still upset that he bombed Serbian Orthodox churches on our Easter. Many had stayed home, but priests and other faithful were in the churches when they were bombed by our planes.

and I say good for them. Why shouldn't Clinton be held accountable for this? I'm not saying he should be tried in the Hague, but he should face some criticism. Should Clinton be immune from critique by anyone on the left just because he is comparatively much better than Bush? Nobody on the right is going to ever give a damn about those deaths. And if Clinton has a justification for the policy, I expect him to be fully capable of atriculating it to these critics unlike the current Buffoon-in-Chief who lives in a bubble. If Clinton thinks mistakes were made, I expect him to own them and say he wishes he had done things differently. But when that many people die as the result of a policy, someone should be critical.

It really makes me wonder what's going on in their little pea brains. Whatever Clinton may have done as a war president is peanuts compared to the death, destruction and disgrace under Bush.

There's hardly a President since WW2 that you couldn't arguably call a war criminal. That's just the sad fact of modern American foreign policy. A lot of people in nations we've attacked or where we've supported dictators think so.

just because Clinton was not some jingoistic asshole who personally got off on projecting American power like the current occupant of the White House doesn't mean that his administration didn't do some things that resulted in unnecessary loss of life. Would I personally call him a "war criminal"? No. But I'm glad to see that there are people in this country who give a damn about victims of US policies and are willing to speak truth to power regardless of the semantics.
