the sun don't shine and they'll wake up to the reality that if they ban abortions and limit birth control, women are going to turn off the love spigots.

abuse is STILL against the law - even for married couples (yes, I realize that rape of a spouse isn't against the law in some weird states, but abuse always is).

Along with the abortion underground, we need also to start providing domestic abuse awareness programs to women in overly-red states.

P.S. Some of these fundie males - and you know this is true - also have a slew of mistresses. Wait 'til one of them says, "no, because YOU outlawed abortion and birth control." Then we'll see some changes. They don't beat their mistress for fear she'll tell the wifie poo at home.

abortion clinic in a blue state if she gets pregnant. As my husband says, all these guys who wear their religion on their sleeves often have a mistress or two up them as well-and when it comes down to it, they junk their religion for expediency every time.

What's so funny about fundies is their repression - I mean funny as in ironic. I have a very liberal husband - more liberal than I - who has told me his whole past. Stuff I'd never do. But, I also know he wouldn't a bit more cheat on me or hit me than I could fly to the moon without wings and an oxygen mask. Can't say the same for my ex - a Muslim "fundie." ;)

It is funny how often fundamentalism is a mask for hypocrisy. And how often those who are hypocritical have a rather dour visage. I've known fundamentalist Christians who believed in the literal truth of the New Testament but who were filled with joy, and I can assure you that they were the ones who walked their talk and actually lived the teachings, especially the "judge not" part. Those kind I don't have a problem with, because they live and let live.
