DU is a wonderful place for many reasons, many purposes.

But it's not a place to mourn.

Many of us have been mourning the loss of Kirby Puckett, a wonderfully talented baseball player who meant a lot to Minnesotans and baseball fans.

Despite heartfelt expressions of grief, the louts and jackasses came pouring out. And continue to do so. They are the DU equivalent of Fred Phelps and his ilk.

Don't mourn publicly at DU. It's like bleeding in front of sharks. Consider yourself warned.

on a regular basis. If you are very protective of your particular Sacrad Cow, don't bring him to DU.

I'm sorry I read that thread. It has to be rough being in the spotlight, everything you do is available for public consumption. How sad. It's amazing how many "perfect" people there are in the world. Those who throw stones will one day regret it.
