More Freaker Compassionate Conservatism (I know..I know)
I shouldn't give these wing-nuts a second of my time, but this post just has to be shared.

It ties misogyny, fascism, jingoism, fear, racism, and hatred into one little neat and tidy ball.

It's scary that we still have people in this country that think like this.

It's even scarier that we allow them to vote.

It's from a thread on the Amnesty Internation report that says woman prisoners shouldn't be shackled during childbirth.

Good idea.
What's to keep these felons from rolling off the table, tossing the newborn into a dumpster and fleeing?

Then one is left to wonder: where is the father of the child?

They should probably manacle the baby as well as when he grows up there'll be another big expense warehousing him in the pen.

1. Amazing. I have another example.
My clock-radio is stationed to WBAL, a rightwing network (it comes in clearly, and jolts me out of bed).

This morning, Chip Franklin was discussing children who are deathly allergic to peanuts, and how a school had sent a letter home telling parents not to send peanuts in their kids' lunches. A mother of one such child called in; he griped that she wasn't always going to be able to protect her child from peanuts (I'm sure she never thought of that before).

Then a guy called in blathering about his own kid's right to bring peanut butter sandwiches to school. "That's what he likes! What else is he supposed to eat?" As if it was an imposition to consider the life or death of the other child, for whom he felt no concern whatsoever!

Chip boasted that if he and his wife had received a letter ASKING them not to send peanuts to school, they'd have willingly complied (how BIG of them!) but he had a problem with the fact that the school TOLD them instead of ASKING. :eyes:

Who ARE these people???
