springer made an excellent point today
He mentioned that he speaks before groups who are for the Iraq war, but when he asks them how many would support a draft no one raises their hand

His question is how can one morally support a war, and not support a draft?

1. That's easy. We just hire a mercenary military
to do our killing for us. Worked for the Romans, ya know.

2. Easy, they are called Chickenhawks.
In an earlier age, these kind of people would have been disowned by their families in disgrace.

3. He (and you) is absolutely right.
If you support this "Unending War on Terror or Whatever the Naked Nazi Defines as the War on Terror", then you must support a military draft. The very fact that there is no draft points to the "War" being a lie. The tax cuts were another indicator, the Dubai port deal is another. It just goes on and on... Why all of these people are in support of an ongoing, ill-defined, global "war" on "whoever" is just a complete puzzle. It makes no sense at all. These people cannot all be profiting from the carnage; they cannot all be gibbering idiots. But if we really are in a "70-year" war (as Gingrich says), then why not the draft?
