Is Dominionism just a force of the Far Right?
Look at what the Far Right is trying to do, they are trying to 'balance' (inject their crooked ideology) into just about everything.

The Media

The School

You name it, they're doing it.

Isn't this what Dominionism does? Inject Totalitarian Christianity into every aspect of life, every social institution?

Is it fair to say that the Dominionists and the 'christian' Reconstructionists just a bunch of henchmen for those who are truly in charge?

4. Isn't it what everyone does?
I mean, I have a different way of doing it for sure, but I do try to bring the ideas of the left that I find valuable into any one of the many discussion, debates and brainstorms I engage in.

I see where you're going, but...

5. "By any means necessary"
What you are talking about is discussion, compromise, debate, etc.

What they have in mind is subversion, fear, propaganda, etc.

6. I don't know
I think it is an alliance of convenience - but as to who has the upper hand, it's impossible to say. I do think the dominionists are sincere (and sincerly crazy) and they believe that they have the upper hand. I believe that business interests will stick with the dominionists and their maginally less crazy brethren for as long as it's convienent to do so.

7. Yes. Here is the analogy I use.
The conservatives, the freepers, Dominionists, fundies, etc. are the orcs in the army of evil. unthinking henchmen, unaware or ambivalent to their true masters... the eye in the sky, Sauron... this being corporate power and ambition.

I have extended this metaphor before to include the liberal coasts as the elven empire, a bit detached from the world of the common man in the "middle" earth but well-intentioned and good nonetheless who finally fight shoulder to shoulder alongside Man.
