Jermaine Jackson's "Legacy" -- Why isn't this perjury????

I just heard this story on Stephanie Miller and thought, surely, it was a joke. So, I turned to Google, and I am sad to say, it is not.

Seems Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine thought Michael was guilty of molesting children... even his own nephews... but said "stood behind him" during the trial because he was afraid Michael would commit suicide if he was convicted. WHY ISN'T THE FACT THAT HE LIED IN COURT PERJURY? If you or I did that, we would be guilty of perjury, and probably in jail for admitting it so publicly.

The disgusting part: the reason he went public at all is because he's coming out with a book, if he can get it past Michael's lawyers. He withdrew the book after Michael threatened to throw him out of the family compound (where Jermaine and his family lives rent-free) if he tried to publish it. He also said the charges made by La Toya about her and her sister being molested by their father was true, and the only reason his father is not in jail right now is because their mother "loves" him.

This is the sickest freak-ass bunch of people ever to be in one family!

The Daily News said that Jermaine, in the book, expresses concern that his brother Michael might be guilty of child molestation and that he feared Michael might commit suicide if he were imprisoned. The paper reported that the book goes into detail about Michael Jackson's alleged substance abuse. Jermaine also blames Michael for destroying his brothers' solo careers, according to the report.
Since his June acquittal on child molestation charges in California, Michael Jackson has made several trips to Bahrain as a guest of Sheik Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the son of Bahrain's king. He's reportedly in negotiations to work as a consultant with a Bahrain-based company that plans to set up theme parks and music academies in the Middle East.

Jermaine Jackson dropped plans to publish a tell-all book about his brother Michael when the King of Pop vowed to toss Jermaine out of the Jackson family home and sue him.

The New York Daily News reported the proposed book, "Legacy: Surviving the Best and the Worst," was to be ghost-written by author Stacy Brown. Among the details to be revealed in the never-published book: Jermaine feared his kid brother might be guilty of the child molestation charges; Michael's alleged drug and alcohol abuse; Michael's two older kids were fathered by a sperm donor; the Jacksons' father, Joe, molested their sisters Rebbie and La Toya when they were kids.
