An extraordinary family who walk on all fours are being hailed as the breakthrough discovery which could shed light on the moment Man first stood upright.

Scientists believe that the five brothers and sisters found in Turkey could hold unique insights into human evolution.

The Kurdish siblings, aged between 18 and 34 and from the rural south, 'bear crawl' on their feet and palms.

they have coverings on their feet but not their hands in this image (at least ONE of them doesn't)...doesn't bode well for this story...

considering they are used as feet.

Furthermore, they are wearing shoes on their feet.

If you used your hands to walk on as you use your feet, and you wear shoes, wouldnt you also wear some sort of "shoe" on your hands? Doesnt seem to be a problem of resources as they are dressed relatively well.

9. Ok, try this . . .

. . . without looking at the picture again try walking on all fours. Then look at the way that the weight is distributed in the pictures (except for the woman in the back on the right). I'll bet that the way you all-four'd is quite different than the way that the people are doing it in the picture. That's maybe a reason I think this might be for real. That and there's going to be a BBC special on the 17th.
