Might want to take a peek at the country YOUR running
Don't you love when AP articles just line up perfectly.

President Bush said Tuesday that democracies only reach their potential when women are allowed to fully participate in society, singling out Iran, North Korea and Myanmar as nations that are suppressing women's basic rights.

In other news:

governor of the US state of South Dakota signed a near blanket ban on abortion, including in rape cases, launching a major challenge to a landmark 1973 Supreme Court ruling that made the procedure legal.

5. Well, no sense distracting from the "foreign policy" message...
Lets look at the women's suffrage record of our "allies in the war on terror".

Saudi Arabia...No

Kuwait...No

UAE...No

(to be fair, the UAE DOES extend the same voting rights to women as it does to men...none!)

6. Gag- I actually have to agree with * on this. I don't know of any country
that allows women to reach their potential. And how in the world did Myanmar get on that list? Where is it? Never even heard of it before! Next axis of evil???

8. I currently live in a country that thinks 1800 was a good year for women's
right and are trying awful hard to get us back there. No, didn't miss the irony.
