Woman Who Treated Cancer With Breast Milk Dies
Woman Who Treated Cancer With Breast Milk Dies

POSTED: 10:57 am EST March 7, 2006

BALTIMORE -- A Baltimore woman who was drinking human breast milk to help treat her cancer has died, television station WBAL reported.

Dorothy George passed away over the weekend after battling pancreatic cancer since January 2005.

George was told chemotherapy would give her a few months to live. But a doctor friend suggested she add human breast milk to her treatments.

Instead of a few months, George lived more than a year.

2. DU seems like the National Inquirer today, with this and
the human quadriped story. Need a separate forum for the sensationalist stuff.

4. Unproven quackery.
Nobody can give a time limit to any cancer patient, only a statistical range. As with all statistics, falling out the range is unusual, but not impossible. Mrs. George was well within the range of survival of pancreatic cancer.

Take this one with a pound of salt.

(However I think Dr. Smoot might have been on the right track linking dairy products in general to the development of disease in some populations)
