1. OK.
Can anyone tell me why this should be such a burning issue that they would have a poll on a major news station to ask?

2. I voted NO.

I don't have a problem with a transgender being homecoming queen or king, but a person who identifies as male is not a queen, and a person who identifies as female is not a king. Even if the person is gay.

This question is beyond silly and trivial, IMO.

8. No, it's not.
The very concept of a "prom king and queen" is silly and trivial, as is anything associated with such irrelevant, meaningless positions.

They should change the name of it to "most popular boy and girl" - since that's all it's really about, then add categories for most popular gay and trans girl and boys if need be.

But I really wouldn't care if they abolished the contests altogether - it's just a venue for the top jock and top cheerleader to be validated by the school YET AGAIN.

9. Sorry....
...but I think a crusade to make homecoming kings and queens unisex is a wasted effort.
