See the TV ad about clean air with Nuclear Energy?
Shows our kids (blond and white Americans) runing with kites, balloons, in the fresh, non-polluted air of America with Nuke energy. These are the pictures the need to be showing.

Photos from Chernobyl by PAUL FUSCO
these are the children of radiation doused Ukrainians.

1. Chernoble type accidents are nearly impossible now.
The reactor design was fundamentally flawed and never used in the USA. Read up on it.

Why don't you show some pictures of some dead coal miners (black lung) or how about some miscarried fetuses from mercury poisoning, or how about children with asthma.

Until we have 100% wind and solar power (like in year 2800 at today's build out rates) you are going to have to deal with the negative results of energy production.

It doesn't take an accident to create deaths and injuries from Coal and Oil electricity production. It happens without it.

Tens of thousands of people die every year because of coal and oil fired power plants.

4. the reactor design was used at savannah river
and that is most certainly in the usa last time i checked

you're not one of those still spreading the tall tale that chernobyl had no containment vessel, are you? the containment vessel, similar to many we have in the usa, was blasted away in the explosion but in satellite photographs before the accident, you can see it quite clearly

sorry, physics major here

accidents happen, coal is bad too, maybe worse, but i'm guessing from your nick you live in a place (nyc) where you don't have to be concerned w. reactor accidents so it's pretty cheap for you to argue in their favor

3. I'd live next to a nuke before I would live next to a dirt burner.
