There should be no doubt in anyones mind, November is ours.
I clipped this from the November Investors Letter from Avalon, and it is typical right now -

"When the President was confronted by the growing skeptisim of this deal, he quickly confirmed what we all assumed in the beginning, he had no clue about this P&O deal. Proving once again as the leader of our country, the buck doesn't stop with him. For full disclosure, I am a Republican and a loyal one at that (See Ronald Reagan), and while every President has some embarrassments like Monica Lewinsky, Billy Carter, these recent debacles would wear down the most loyal Republicans (don't even get me started on Wild Bill Cheney). I can only appeal to the President to do the right thing for the sake of our country and JOIN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY."

In truth the guy that wrote the newsletter has a better sense of humor than others, but the sentiment is definately the same. *sh has lost it, he really did. Just eight more months now and we really will win.

Joe

complacent! This is going to be another hard fought race. We thought the last one was ours too. They are tenacious disgusting leeches that will stoop at nothing to keep sucking more blood - ours. :)

7. Not complacent, just confident.
He lost the "money changers" here. You know.

I am a numbers person, and I understand, the SOB may be able to cheat 2 points but he can't cheat 10. And I understand, it is one thing to cheat in a single election and a whole other thing to cheat in 400 elections simultaneously. Only God could cheat his way out of hole this guy dug.

We are going to win. I just pray we also do the right thing with that knowledge.

24. Of course it is.
Never up against opposition, and I so look forward to that day.

We have to keep working, but frankly, recognize we are winning.

The day Delay beats the dem, I quit - not going to happen.

That he could beat other theives, sure - anything is possible it that realm.

Doesn't really count, though.

3. If the Repubs *do* "win" in Nov...
...that would be the final straw for me. Something would definitely be rotten in the state of Denmark, or at least our voting system...this is the test case. We can't lose an honest vote.

4. Don't count on it...
Delay is still picked to win his district, EVEN under indictment. I think it will have to get a lot worse for the average Dick and Jane before any change will happen. Think about it, there was no outrage after the Florida vote, no outrage after the Ohio vote, and the Cheney, Abramoff, Delay, Libby, and etc. indictments are falling off the media radar.

There is a lot of work to be done yet.

And we should even have citizen groups monitoring election sites and DRE storage facilities. This could be the year we catch them screwing with the vote.

13. Oh for sure -
I KNOW he lost. You look at fractional devations of a statistical problem - I can't explain it to a normal person - WE can't. But I don't know a numbers person that feels otherwise, you know??

Oh, that bastard did cheat and he did lose and a lot of kids are going to die because of it.

The truth is, they cheat here and we catch them, and that party is dead for 50 years.

The truth, I hope they do cheat, I really do.

They are not going to be dumb enough to that, though. They already lost, and they know it.

Act like a winner, and the odds are you will be a winner. Odds are in our favor.

move on. The time to insure a fair election is now. We must have bullet proof machines or no machines at all. We must know today how many machines will be placed where. We must know now now that the voter rolls are not tamper proof.

The thing I am most disgusted with about Kerry is how he said, "we will make sure every vote is counted." I thought he meant during the election not after! I had real faith that something was going on to prevent another stolen election. But NO! There wasn't.

22. Good points.
I just hope that the Democrats or the Progressive groups are smart enough to lay down a trap for the fascist bastards to get caught in.......so we can compile evidence that can be used in the right state to get a court case with legs......and blow this issue up into the mainstream zeitgeist, so we can get some real reform.

The Republicans can torpedo reform right now because it's only a small percentage of people who know about this issue.

every election, actually

then the tears and wails and moans because while we were all in agreement that our candidate was the 100% best choice, he/she didn't get elected.

10. Seems like there is a ton of doubt in EVERYONE's mind

As well there should be...

The Presidential election in 2000 was ours.

They stole it.

The Presidential election in 2004 was ours.

They stole it.

And, you think they won't cheat when they stand to face criminal charges and impeachment with a democratic congress.

14. Everything you said true -
And they could try, but they sure can't win.

And if they try and fail, well then - there goes the republican party for 50 more years.

He will be impeached by a democratic congress in about nine more months. It is our history.

12. They really are gonna lose here, it is simple
If one can shave points within the margin of error, you will probably get away with it in our country. They did.

Once you leave those boundries, it becomes a very complicated proposition.

Even FOX has a generic dem up 10 points or better now - and it doesn't have to be ten points.

For five years I don't think we fought a fight with even odds, let alone odds in our favor.

And one thing is for sure, every numbers guy between California and Maine is going to watch this election, and remember the failings of the last polls.

We are going to win, alright.

Joe

They've been investigated, castigated and accused, yet has any state said that the machines are too corrupted to be used?

Not that I can see.

impeachment and the thing I got out of it is that the White house is bulling the Congress and the MSM so that the people will not get the facts. My wife is a typical voter and she thinks paying attention to all of this is a big waste of time. She will never know what we all here know. I can talk to her about it for a few minutes and then she has had it and walks away.

People out there will not get the message from the MSM but only if we take to the streets. I'm not so sure enough of them will know enough by Nov to make a difference. Also I'm sure the repubs will pull out all the stops to lower the votes from our side.

Nelson is SO right - as long as we don't fuck it up, we are going to win.

YOU can't cheat two points with a ten point defecit. In 450 elections, simultaneously - only Jesus Christ could to that. AND this guy sure ain't Jesus Christ.

It is ours to lose.

AND - WE ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE.

Lets make that GI bill pay-off right now- for all of us.

29. Oh for goodness sake...
We said that for 2000.

We said that for 2002.

We said that for 2004.

I sense a pattern.

Current events don't always change who runs things.

And with enough people I know saying "Clinton was the best president the republicans ever had", politicians don't change much either.
