I'M i missing something about all this Hillary talk in 08
Edited on Tue Mar-07-06 07:50 PM by bigdarryl
What i mean is maybe i missed it but i don't remember Senator Clinton saying she's running in 08 for president. there seems to be an obsession especially Tweety about getting some one to beat Hillary in 08.its as if she's the only candidate for the Democrats for 08. the republican party is going to look like total fools if she announces shes not running.

1. Repubs want Hillary because she is the easiest to beat.
That's why they mention her over and over.

2. She will run and win as the gig is up on Bush but the status quo
must continue according to the shadow government. Hillary has already been selected.

4. Tweety is a douchebag.
His contempt for the Clintons is palpable through the TV. Which is why even though I don't want her to be the Dem candidate, I will still take her side. I don't like her being bashed anywhere, even here on DU. The Clintons have suffered their quota of insults to last them a lifetime and to satisfy whatever karmic revenge they may have coming to them. I think we can all work hard to put a better candidate on the ballot without trashing her, but I also know that's a favorite sport of some here.

9. I don't know why the term 'douchebag'.......but....
...when I was a little boy I found one in the town dump and brought it home thinking that it would make a neat watter bottle for my bicycle....Mom freaked out and I never knew why until years later.

12. a generic derogatory term.
Tweety is a whore for the GOP. He isn't shy about showing his contempt for Democrats. His panels almost always are grossly unbalanced if they include Dems at all. Hardball is just a smarter Faux News.

6. They harp on her because she is a wedge issue in this party.
They like makings the Dems weaker by making her stronger.

10. It's a Rovian ploy to get the left into more bickering & infighting.
Hillary will not be running in '08.
McCain will not be running in '08.
Rice will not be running in '08.

I wish people would just STFU about Hillary/McCain/Rice running in '08.

It's.

Not.

Gonna.

Happen.

20. I don't think she's said it herself...
...but Bill has kind-of hinted that she'd have the advantage of a recent ex-President who was campaigning for her. (Don't ask me for a link ... I read it here in an article weeks ago - I think it was at a graduation speech or some-such.) It could just have been theoretical, of course, but you never know. I'd certainly support her!

22. i guess when i hear her say it i'll believe it, right now it's just the rw
and it's medias emissaries trying to distract us from the mid terms. Plus say her name and it raised $$$ for the RNC and that alone is one of the main reasons i don't speculate about her.

25. She hasn't said anything either way
I remember sometime late last year seeing her on CNN and she was asked about it and she said she was concentrating on 2006. Only thing I can think of is she recently hired James Carville.
