Just watch James DeWitt on Hardball. He;s good and knows
what he's talking about when discussing how to run FEMA. I agreed with him on every suggestion he had except ONE!

He agreed with Tweety that the Dir. of FEMA shoule be a close friend or buddy of the President, people who trust each other. My problem is that I don't think Shrub has ANY friends or buddies who are competent to do ANYTHING!

1. Maybe it would be better to elect the FEMA Director then.
And let him pick the President. ABB

4. Just listening to DeWitt convinced me he knew what he was doing,
and wasn't afraid to exert his authority, no matter whose toes he stepped on. That's what Brownie was missing. I do think he had good intentions, and some good ideas, but he should have gone to the press, and said here's what we need to do, and I CAN'T get it done! The Pres or Dir of DHS is ignoring the problem!!!

Had he done that, he would have been the hero, but NOoooo, he had to be a loyal little lap dog!

9. I don't think the position should change with each administration
It should be someone who's essentially non-partisan.
