Psst - about the TX primary - we want to DeLay to WIN
Who would you rather run against in the GE - an (almost) convicted felon, who may not even be in the House come election time, or a Repub running on the mantle of "getting rid of corruption."

I'd love to see a run-off, but if not please remember - Tommy winning is a GOOD thing.

He's no Democrat.

14. I would rather have Kinky (not a chance) than Strayhorn-whoever-
she-was-married-to-last.

I have never trusted her.

Makes a lot of noise and then rolls over. But I have been gone from Texas for a while and am not up to speed.

Still, Kinky will say shit about DeLay that none of the other candidates will.

16. How about the man who filed the ethics complaint against DeLay?
How about Chris Bell? You know, an actual DEMOCRAT?!?!

2. You could be right, but I just can't think like that.
I want to kick the sh*t out of his sails! I want him to realize NOW that he is an AH and can't get away with the crap he's been puling for so many years!

I'm just willing to wait until November to make that happen.

9. I know - I had to wash my hands after writing it
:)

On a serious note, however, lest us not forget a certain Texas prosecutor who is chomping at the bit right about now...

12. He's already failed and fallen
Some of his constituents might not realize it, yet, but he's going down. It would be better for democrats if he wins the primary and then goes down.

19. True, but a primary defeat would be nice
It would be very sweet to see DeLay get backhanded by his own constituency.

13. Ideally, we want the bugman winning at 49 % to force a runoff.
Edited on Tue Mar-07-06 10:08 PM by Pithy Cherub
It's *hard work* for DeLay to get other cockroaches to give him money. We want his cash sucked up too in a run off. ;)

18. Try them all together in this sentence
When DeLay loses in the general election, we will all feel good, and Tommy will win a new seat in the Federal pen!

See, don't you feel better now?? :) :) :)

20. Psst, no we don't. Hope Delay is taken out early and removed from the race
The whole point is to get him out of congress. Sugarland is a heavy repug district and mostly likely will send another repug back to Washington. So, hope Delay is taken out early so he will be replaced by a freshman with no experience or power. Also, given two unknowns, the dem has a better chance of defeating another "unknown" than one with name recognition (albeit tainted).

Just my .02 after years of playing Tx politics.... *grin.
