Abortion Rights isn't Men vs Women. It's Privacy vs Control.

The Pew Research Center has posted the findings of their national survey on a variety of issues at http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=253

There is only a minor statistical variation between men and women in support for abortion rights.



A much greater divide is between those with more or less education.

But the greatest divide is between the secular and the Christians.

These are the forces that oppose privacy and autonomy -- they don't think YOU own your body - their god does.

Sling mud, if you will, but at least sling it at your real opponents. Please.

on the general populace. This will backfire as it did in the Schiavo case. Families don't need the government involved in private decisions.

6. I would agree, and yet look at those who lead the "pro-life" movement

95% of the Anti-Abortion "leaders" are men. They are not women.

Is this not a curious statistic to begin with? Does it not spell out control and attempted ownership in a rather voluminous Dolby sound?

Why are they overzealously protective of a fetus, when they cast aside the children in foster care and/or adoption?

Why are they not worried about the children living, who need the proper guidance, supervision, support and money for a college education, not to mention elementary through high school education?

Those are the individuals all of us need to be focusing on. Not a fetus who has not even taken his/her first breath.
