Was there a normal turnout or small. I find it difficult to believe a large portion of (even Texans) people would vote for such a criminal. If turnout was really small I could understand it better.

2. This provides some info on the election

Tom says the politics of personal destruction did not work. I guess we can then chalk up his win to the ignorance of the electorate.

3. About 35,000 people voted in that primary.
The prediction was a 7% turnout, with no final numbers yet, it seems they predicted well.

What was disappointing was that, for the whole state, only 2% of the population seems to have voted in the Democratic primaries.

4. that's sickening
that so many people will turn their heads to pure unadulterated corruption versus true political accountability.

6. Reminded me of the headline from 2004 election:
"How could 35,000 people be so stupid?"

:dunce:
