NO MORE PURPLE: the battle lines are DRAWN.
There is no such thing as a "PURPLE STATE" anymore. As evidenced by the ubiquitous "Party Line" vote (example: Gov. Kaine of Virginia’s nominee for a cabinet post, rejected on strict party line because he was at one time with AFL-CIO), Bipartisanship is an illusion, and a dangerous one at that.

The Republican Party now has the status of the scorpion who is given a ride across the stream by the fox, then stings the fox so they both drown with the excuse, "It's who I am, and it's what I do." NO MORE. I do not DEBATE with Republicans; I do not RESPOND to Republican talking points, I do not REPLY to Republican emails. Screw them. Oh, and by the way, screw the Democrats who agree with them and cooperate with them; the Republicans are uncooperative, ungrateful, unsympathetic and UNAMERICAN.

I repeat, SCREW THEM.

SURE I will continue to actively participate in the primary process to support Democratic Party candidates, but my support in the PRIMARY will only be for candidates that DO NOT cooperate with the Republicans. And in the end, I will support ANY Democratic Party candidate in ANY election; it is better after all to support Franco than Hitler, even if they both are fascists, but I no longer have any idealistic belief that it will do any good.

What I have come to believe is that the political landscape over the entire GLOBE has become the moral equivalent of WAR, and when or if the war is lost, then the Revolution will eventually follow. That or Slavery. Anyway, I’m quietly buying more guns and more ammunition. I’m slowly stocking a "War Pantry" with non-perishables and water purification filters. I'll be re-importing one of the three wind generators from Canada, and getting the others up in the air over there this summer. I feel the winds of some "sea change," but unfortunately they seem to bear the acrid tinge of gunpowder, and personally I’m readying myself for the possibility of manning barricades: I think the odds are only about 60/40 against it happening, and falling.

3. I also feed fellow volunteers.
Nobody goes hungry at MY barricade.

And from the looks of it, it's just going to be the two of us, anyway.

4. They aren’t space monkeys, Tyler…yet
But when everyone comes to realize the cold, deadly truth, when it is realized that democracy isn’t now and never was an intellectual exercise, a rational and logical exchange of ideas, but a methodology of control over the masses, well…

…we all know what happens when civilizations cling to a social framework no longer adequate to address it’s advances in technology…

survival isn’t chess or a debate, it’s a war.

5. Unfortunately, when a free press is threatened, it is.
Thanks Tyler, I'll warm up my arm a little earlier than I thought necessary.

I used to have a pretty good fastball too.
