VERY DISTURBING FIND Re: Faith-Based Initiative INSIDE Homeland Security

Under these new powers, an overzealous Attorney General in an Administration that favored abortion rights could label a pro-life organization that engaged in "direct action" as a domestic terrorist group.  As a consequence, the government could wiretap their meetings, seize their property, and strip their supporters of United States citizenship, rendering them in the same position as stateless undocumented immigrants who face potentially indefinite detention.

Now if you turn that around, and have an overzealous AG that was vehemently pro-life, he could label a pro-choice organization as a domestic terrorist group. This may answer, at least in part, one of the reasons why Bush just made an executive order for Faith-Based Initiative to be housed in Homeland Security. Then when more states outlaw abortion, and thus is mandated by forthcoming Federal law, any uprisings of the people will be dealt with "appropriately."

1. This is why 2006 and 2008 are so important.
If Diebold continues and the people's votes aren't counted, Canada may want to be ready for the floodgate.

Just saying.

7. Not a dupe...
Read my OP again. This is about why they may have done this in relation to the abortion issue. The assumption is that the faith based initiative is already housed in Homeland Security, and I laid that out at the beginning of my post.

The thread title simply doesn't allow enough characters to continue what should be the proper title of this thread: "VERY DISTURBING FIND Re: Faith-Based Initiative INSIDE Homeland Security: It's About ABORTION!"

4. Very scary indeed
Maybe they're doing this for several reason's. One is so the "faith based groups" will pay for everything and they can use money for tax cuts or something else with the military. Or so they can know who their "friends" are. But his whole obsession with "faith based groups" is really quite weird.

5. Thank God government is always inept, or we'd be in a heap of
trouble. When I think about the recent news blurb on security lapses AT the department of fatherland security that the guards went to congress about (no training, don't know how to respond to bomb scares, when they found an envelope with suspicious white powder in it last fall the 'officials' took it outside and dumped it out it outside of Secretary Chertoff's window---without knowing what it was and without warning innocent bystanders and without the biohazard containment stuff you and i have bought them) it makes me feel better.

6. well, as a stateless undocumented immigrant
the laws of no nation would likewise apply to me.

They had better make damn sure I don't survive whatever it is they plan to do.
