Republican "logic" on display regarding oil conservation

To hell with conserving oil. I'm going to trade-in my SUV for a bigger, more gas-guzzling model. The United States is still the strongest, most technolgy advanced nation in the world. We'll figure out an alternative to oil once it's all used up.

So, lets use as much oil, as fast as we can, in order to deplete the only product the arab countries have and render them worthless. The more we conserve oil, the more time and power we give to the arabs because of our reliance. So, lets use up all the oil and leave the arabs with their worthless deserts

It's like they're plan to cut government spending by spending as much as possible. Eventually budget pressures will force them to cut government spending.

3. How about this

If we reduce our consumption of oil, then the price will fall off and it will crash our stock market and economy. We need to consume more and more to prop up energy stocks, which are the best stocks to have right now.

Bigger cars, our economy depends on it.
