So,
I have a Dad who is in his 70's and has discovered the joys of responding via e-mail. In fact, he has built up a rather large cc: list of family and friends who are treated to pass around joke lists and letters and forwards from hell.
Now my Dad is a Dem, dislikes Bush and this administration and can talk at a general level about all the malfeance and tsk tsks. He's nowhere on the Repub side (he supported McGovern way back when) and is pretty liberal about many things. But, he was also a Marine, got the GI bill to get off the farm and go to college and generally will come out in favor of "Support" for armed forces. Support--for whatever that means per individual.
So, I get one of those "SEND THIS ON" messages that started with a relative of ours forwarding a general message about SUPPORT OUR TROOPS--WEAR RED FRIDAYS--for RED BLOODED AMERICANS-INVOKE GOD-ETC ETC. OF course, Dad sent it to me and all his list and those guys have their buddy lists cuz he's "patriotic". It's like your own little online Repuke message carrier for the grassroots, all these cc lists of the uncritical.
Now, a friend of mine just showed me an interesting new search engine that categorizes the results "politically"-liberal, conservative, independant. (Beta)

Try "Red Friday" in the search.
