Have you folks seen this or heard about this? Supposedly UN vehicles coming into the U.S. via Port Beaumont, Texas? What do you think this is all about? http://www.greaterthings.com/News/UN_vehicles.htm.

1. The U.N. does have some operations in the
Western Hemisphere: to wit, Haiti. Maybe they think there will be more.

19. We can hope!
I really wouldn't mind if our alien overlords are the cute, cuddly, ET-types. "Independence Day" aliens wouldn't be much fun, though.

4. ahhh yes, the UN is comming for our guns and Bibles

I love the people that think the same body that can't feed people when they have a million pounds of food at the airport is going to be able to take over a country by force.

5. Aside From All The Joking
So, you think it's a hoax of some sort then - even with the photos?

6. What joking?

I support the goal and mission of the UN but it is a very ineffective organization when it comes to actually getting things done on the ground. If the UN announced they were invading Texas tonight, I'd sleep like a baby.

I have no idea what the photos are, looks like a bunch of white SUVs, could be for anything and could be owned by anyone. I enjoy these conspiracy sites and sometimes there are bits of truth in them, most of the "invasion" pictures aren't, I think my favorite is the ones of the empty fairgrounds with the turnstiles saying "see you can go in but you can't go out of them."

on edit, yes the guns and Bibles thing was joking, didn't think about that.

11.  Hi,
Love that photo of former Gov. Edwards. I really do like him, warts and all. Is there a story there?

16. Yeah, me too

Not really any story. I met him a few times and got to hear the famous mouth spew a couple of times. :) I was probably in my late 20's before I voted for anyone other than EWE for governor and would vote for him today if he ran. I don't think anyone could or can run the "Gret State" better than he could. I think of all his quotes my favorite was "I'm a believer in pretty good government, I mean good government is a noble concept, but you have to get things done."

7. Masturbatory fear pr0n.
Some people just like to scare themselves about stuff. Of course, we do it too. Interesting human phenomenon. Wonder why it is? Maybe we just like to feel important and in the know.

17. It's kind of like adult ghost stories.
We can huddle around & get that little frission of fear without, truly, believing it is real.

9. Just was on another thread and realized,
these "U.N." trucks could be headed for the Middle East, since Pt. Beaumont is one of the two main ports for the U.S. military to ship goods over. There is talk on the other thread about drawing fire by using U.N. vehicles, so they could be, far-fetched as it is, lures to get some action going.

10. Look at the source
:tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat: :tinfoilhat:
One of the posters said there were thousands of Chinese in Mexico ready to come over the border.
Just what can you see (that I can't) on any of those blips on the photos that indicates they are UN vehicles...except what the poster says?

15. Jackie, take a deep breath, and relax. Because that site is crap.
That site is just the product of a bunch of naíve people
mixing with others who ENJOY TELLING STORIES.

It would take DAYS to wade through all their nonsense;
there's hardly a paragraph to be seen that isn't based
on incorrect assumptions.

It's just NONSENSE; and you shouldn't be wasting your time with it
when there are so many REAL things to worry about.

And I do consider the source, etc... I just think it is something to be aware of, though.

22. Those are INS vehicles being outfitted by UNICOR.
The vehicles arrived in Bastrop and then were taken to the Federal Correctional Facility at Three Rivers, Texas where UNICOR (A prison industry that usses prison labor) outfits them with lights, INS decals and such. Three Rivers had the factory but did not have the space to store the vehicles so they were kept at Bastrop.
