Bruce Willis wants to invade Columbia
Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 02:52 AM by LiviaOlivia
Bruce Willis Threatens Hollywood's Blow Supply
http://www.defamer.com/

The best part about actors having to give so many interviews to promote their just-released movies is that the likelihood of them saying stupid things greatly increases, giving us priceless moments like Bruce Willis proposing that we invade Colombia to stop the cocaine trade. Thank you, 16 Blocks!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11701188/

"The United States and everyone who cares about protecting the freedoms that the largest part of the free world now has should do whatever it takes to end terrorism in the world. And not just in the Middle East,” Willis said, according to one transcript of the conferences. “I’m talking also about going to Colombia and doing whatever it takes to end the cocaine trade. It’s killing this country. It’s killing all the countries that coke goes into."

“This is an ungrateful attitude toward Colombia’s sacrifices,” Colombian president Alvaro Uribe said, reports Agence France Presse. “This is arrogance, ignorance. This is an attitude that shocks the dignity of Colombia.” Uribe said.

1. He wants to or wants us to?

If it's just him, he's going to lose!

I did read the post, just couldn't resist. :)

18. If it's just him, tell him to have at it
I'm sure he'll lose, but that's his worry not mine.

3. Exactly what I was thinking.
I'd say here's a gun and some ammo, Bruce. General Pat Robertson has been expecting you.

4. He didn't say invade
I'm not sure that "whatever it takes" means the same to him now that it might have a few years ago. He seemed to be regaining some of his senses in the last couple of interviews I read. So I guess I'd give him a chance to explain those words before I jumped to conclusions that he was supporting more war.

5. Not only arrogance and ignorance, but total
CLUELESSNESS. (I guess that's related to ignorance, though.) Coke is one of America's SMALLEST problems. If he thinks coke is killing America, he really IS stuck in his Moonlighting years. Jeezus. And what the fuck does coke have to do with "terrorism" and "protecting America's freedoms" anyway? What a fucking tool Willis is. Look what invading Afghanistan has done to quell the heroin trade. Psshhh.

6. Good - let him invade Colombia
By the time those drug dealers down there get ahold of him, he won't be around to make any more movies, or to make any stupid comments either.

7. Be an Army of One, Bruce.

I'm sure, with all your tough guy acting roles Bruce, you could single-handedly clean it up in a week.

Or, maybe you ought to invade the corporate/political/banking institutions here that make the big buck distributing the product instead of going after 3rd world farmers.

13. The US is already in Columbia....
Spraying herbicide poisons wherever ChimpCo Inc. can't get in on the Coca-buck$, and using Columbia's proximity to Venezuela to send in the black-ops mutherfuckers for another attempt at getting rid of the popular, and democratically elected President Hugo Chavez.

17. Here's the deal, Bruce. We're a little tied up in Iraq right now, but
you go head on down to Columbia and get things started. It'll be just like a movie. You can kick ass and run around without your shirt, and we'll send backup just as soon as we're done with Operation Neverending Quagmire. Deal?

19. without the cocaine trade the stock market would collapse
Cocaine is a central prop to the American economy. This is why the poor communities are riddled with cocaine trade. The highest echelons in our society promote the liquidity of the illegal drug trade and integrate the revenues into the banking and economic structure via money laundering by "legitimate" corporations.

American elites have made their fortunes by drug trafficking since the early days of the republic. The founder of skull and bones was an old opium trader in the China trade. Some of the oldest and greatest American elite families made their bones in the drug trade with the far east. Nothing has changed.
