according to banana republican logic, clinton had to live up to a standard where he was under the law, couldn't spy on people or steer no-bid contracts to buddies and donors, couldn't get blow jobs, couldn't lie in private matters, and of course it was perfectly appropriate to criticize our commander-in-chief when there were troops abroad.
9/11 changed everything, they say.
but now that our troops abroad are back to nation-building, trying to promote a suitable, peaceful government in an area brimming with civil war -- starting to sound remarkably similar to what the troops were doing when clinton was president, isn't it? -- has everything changed back?
do you think the banana republicans think we should revert to the standards for criticizing the president when a democrat was in office?
yeah, riiiiiight....
