Stephanie Miller; Texas couple investigated by Homeland Security

Apparently paying off a $6,000 credit card bill is means to have Homeland Security to investigate you and question what your motives are.

On my birthday, my parents always give me a hunk of cash to make a payment on my college loans. Should I prepare for my Homeland Security visit?

Of course, Homeland Security didn't actually visit these people, but it's ridiculous that the file was even flagged in the first place and sent to DHS for review.

Aren't we constantly told that we should pay off our balance to keep up our credit rating? What, is the credit card company pissed that it isn't making enough interest?
